Overview

During the early 2000s, by unforeseeable circumstances, Davide Kolko, a Coast Guard officer, run into the working principle of a new and revolutionary space engine, able to go across the Solar System in a few hours. Kolko understand that this amazing device will allow exploiting the enormous riches of the Solar System, but that it could have had a high destabilizing impact on Earth's social and economic structure. Aware of the high level of risk in facing the biggest powers, he decides to be the protagonist of this new Space Race, and starts gathering around him fellows and resources to start this extraordinary venture. Kolko will start a route full of obstacles to reach his ambitious goal and soon, when the incredible news become popular, he'll face powerful and implacable enemies, who try to force him to confess his secret by any means. The adventures of our protagonist will clear up increasing unexpected and twist and turns, which will stuck the reader until the last page. Author Information

Rodolfo Fontana is the pseudonym that the author decided to use to publish his operas and share with readers his ideas about the future, science and technology: in short, his point of view in the varied realm of science fiction. Fond of this genre since he was a kid, he has always been an avid reader of all the science fiction's subgenre, even if his real love was the space opera. He served in Navy, working aboard submarines and minehunter units, to then keep on his career in Coast Guard, standing out, particularly, in rescue at sea area. His contribution in developing important command and control systems for the safety of maritime navigation has been very decisive. Two novels have been published so far Il Mondo di Kolko already translated in English with the title Kolko 1.0: the space disclosure, and Il Mondo di Kolko: la secessione (in translation, with the title Kolko 2.0: age of secession) that, together with the third, in writing, make up a trilogy about the Space Conquer made by the human being, interpreted in an unusual prospective.
