OverviewThis book, originally titled Shulchan Tahor, is a compilation of laws from the Shulchan Arukh by Joseph Pardo, Hazzan of the Spanish and Portugese Congregation in London. It is encompasses a very concise view of the entire year of Jewish law encompassing Orach Chaim and Yoreh De'ah and is a great overview of traditional Jewish Life in practice. This volume stands out as preserving the original (Sephardic) laws from Yosef Karo while annotating the REMA and the Ashkenazic insight. It is a great asset to any Sephardic Jewish home, as well as great value to the beginner. This is the English translation of the original Hebrew. This Code of Jewish Law provided Sephardim with a uniform resource to consult and allowed halakhic practice and the backgrounds for those decisions to be accessible to the rabbinate. While not as expansive as the Mishneh Torah authored by Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, the Shulchan Aruch provided its readers with a comprehensive resource for Jewish life for those mitzvot that can still be practiced today. This volume seeks to give the interested student another resource for increasing their knowledge of Jewish law. - Rabbi Dr. Juan Marcos Bejarano Gutierrez (Excerpt from introduction) Full Product DetailsAuthor: Joseph PardoPublisher: Independently Published Imprint: Independently Published Dimensions: Width: 14.00cm , Height: 1.30cm , Length: 21.60cm Weight: 0.290kg ISBN: 9798839991132Pages: 246 Publication Date: 08 July 2022 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: In Print This item will be ordered in for you from one of our suppliers.
