I wrote this book for the most stressed out sellers on the market, Military families. My Father was in the military, as was my Husband, brother, Father-in-law and brother-in law. My career was sales. I sold cars, insurance, computers, jewelry, clothes, boats, you name it, I probably sold it. I spent countless hours in classrooms learning about marketing and how to ask for the sale, how to ask for the money. Then I became Realtor. What a shock. They did the exact opposite of everything I had been taught. The product label didn't sell the product, It wasn't easy to buy, no asked you to buy it, instead, they ask if you want to see another one. I realized it wasn't a bad market that prevented more homes from being sold, it was bad marketing and high commissions. Based on that, I started one of the first For Sale by Owner magazines in the United States. The idea was to use the magazine to market homes directly to the public, and give the seller the same marketing techniques used to sell all other products. Every month, I would talk to my sellers and we would analyze their results. I did that every month for over 17 years. No other real estate author has this kind of experience. No other book has these techniques.
