Old Testament in the Basaa Language of Cameroon by Pierre Emmanuel Njock Discover the Old Testament translated into the Basaa language of Cameroon by Pierre Emmanuel Njock (PEN). Educated at the Evangelical Missions Institute, PEN later pursued higher studies in Heidelberg, Strasbourg, and Laval, earning a Ph.D. in Linguistics. PEN has held various academic and administrative roles, including positions at Laval University, University of Yaound�, and as Principal of the Evangelical College of Libamba. He co-founded CABTAL and was a member of the Wycliffe International Board. In 1995, he founded the Basaa Language Subcommittee (SCOBA) and became the first President of the Basaa Language Committee (COLƁA) in 1998. This translation of the Old Testament is a result of years of dedication and linguistic expertise, providing Basaa speakers direct access to sacred texts in their native language. Issu de l'Institut des Missions Evang�lique (IME), devenu le Coll�ge Evang�lique de Libamba en 1958, PEN y apprend le solf�ge et l'analyse des versets bibliques sous la direction du R�v�rend R. Peirce, coordinateur de la traduction de la Bible en Bassa, Kaat Nyambe. Apr�s son Baccalaur�at en 1961, il poursuit des �tudes sup�rieures � l'Universit� de Heidelberg, � Strasbourg et � Laval, obtenant une Licence �s Lettres, une Ma�trise en Didactique des Langues, et un Ph.D en Linguistique. PEN a occup� divers postes acad�miques et administratifs, notamment � l'Universit� Laval, � l'Universit� de Yaound�, et en tant que Principal du Coll�ge Evang�lique de Libamba. Co-fondateur de CABTAL, il a �galement �t� membre du Wycliffe International Board. En 1995, il fonde le Sous Comit� de Langue Ɓàsàa (SCOBA) et en 1998, il devient le premier Pr�sident du Comit� de Langue Ɓàsàa (COLƁA). Cette traduction de l'Ancien Testament est le fruit d'ann�es de d�vouement et d'expertise linguistique, offrant aux locuteurs ɓàsàa un acc�s direct aux textes sacr�s dans leur langue maternelle.
