Here is an accessible, wise guide to getting more life from your years. Rabbi Einhorn moves easily from Sanhedrin to Springsteen, illuminating corners of our souls all along the way.--Rabbi David Wolpe, Rabbi of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles, California; acclaimed author; Newsweek's most influential rabbi in America (07/01/2015)

Judaism Alive, written by Shlomo Einhorn, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, is a self-help book guided by the personal qualities of three biblical heavyweights, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses: Abraham representing courage, Joseph portraying patience and success, and Moses depicting humility and strength of character. Einhorn provides an opportunity for the reader to implement the understandings gained from each chapter In Judaism Alive, Einhorn masterfully blends rich and entertaining stories, aphorisms, and anecdotes from the Torah, Midrash, Hasidic masters, as well as from contemporary writers, poets, and lyricists into a well-crafted book, pointing the reader toward meaningful life lessons to be gleaned from the Hebrew Bible. - Fred Reiss, Ed.D.

Author Information

Rabbi Shlomo Einhorn has his rabbinic ordination and a master's in education from Yeshiva University. He started out as a rabbinic intern at Manhattan's legendary Lincoln Square Synagogue. In 2005 he became the head rabbi of New York's West Side Institutional Synagogue. Seven years later this once-empty shul was drawing over 400 people each week and had increased synagogue membership by 70 percent. Rabbi Einhorn's out-of-the-box work was so successful that in 2010 the Orthodox Union gave him his own think tank to craft programming for other synagogues across America. Want to grow your membership? Run a successful Chanukah event? Spice up your shul's Shabbat? Einhorn has a program for that. In 2012, Einhorn moved back to his hometown of Los Angeles to serve as dean and rabbi of Yavneh Hebrew Academy.
