Mihaela Şerban is Associate Professor of Law and Society at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Her research and writing focus on law and society in Romania and Eastern Europe, human rights, constitutional law, and transitional justice. Dr Monica Ciobanu is Professor at Plattsburgh State University of New York. Dr Ciobanu’s current research is focused on issues of democratization, memory, truth, and justice in post-communism. In 2014 she was awarded the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities by SUNY.
