George Verwer, Founder of Operation Mobilisation. I am excited about this book, but its 50 years late. Ever since coming to the UK over 50 years ago I have been urging people to show the Love of Jesus and that must be whether they come to know him or not. We are paying a heavy price for our alienation, prejudice and lack of action. Now in London alone we have about one million Muslims. What a huge joy to know that some are coming to Jesus and we must go the extra mile to love them, encourage them and work with them in any way possible. This important amazing book can help us do just that. Please don't just read it, but get copies to give to others. Greg Livingstone, Founder of Frontiers. Tim and Rachel Green have lived years in Muslim countries. His Ph.D. addresses the vital issues of identity for those who have been rejected by their biological families who hunger for what our Heavenly Father intends Christ's family to be for them. Roxy is one of those precious jewels whom Christ Jesus adopted, who herself has gone through the crucible of rejection by her clan but eventually found a family among Christ's disciples in Britain. Reading it brought me hope that herein is vital guidance which Christians in the West need who have longed to know how to keep connected with and serve Muslim background Christians who desperately need to be adopted into and nurtured by Christ's family. Spend time in the points to ponder , and interact with like-minded welcomers of those who pay the terrible price of 'betraying their families' by entering Christ's family. Admittedly, it is not often that I, as a veteran focused on the rescue mission of Muslims for over fifty years, read a book that takes me into further understanding of what it means to 'make disciples' (among Muslims). Joining the Family did just that. It generates two wishes: One, that it will be absorbed by God's people who are motivated to effectively love their brethren cast out of their Muslim families and two...that this book would have been produced and widely distributed decades ago! Vaughan Roberts, Rector of St Ebbe's and Director of Proclamation Trust This excellent book is just what the church needs to help us catch up with the remarkable work God is doing in bringing people from Muslim backgrounds to Christ and to equip us to play our part in helping them grow with us as fellow members of his family.
