Author Information

Rabbi Shapira was one of the great Jewish spiritual masters of the twentieth century, living in pre-World War II Warsaw, Poland. Seeking to revitalize the spiritual Hasidic movement, Rabbi Shapira wrote a number of books focusing on theory and practical exercises based on visualization, contemplation and emotion. Tragically, Rabbi Shapira was shot to death by the Nazis in 1943.
