Overview

Patience Museveni Rwabwogo's Jesus' Africa provides a refreshing view concerning contemporary issues confronting the African continent and her people, duly captured thematically as rebuilding Africa's walls. Tracing the continent's historical domination through the times of slavery, the era of colonialism and the post-independence period, the continent has been at the 'short end of the stick' of the global development agenda. That past, notwithstanding, the work sends a powerful message of hope that Africa will arise through, in part, understanding the continent's place on this earth and the role it is poised to play in global development. The past is important, yes. However, the future must be of prime concern. To rebuild her walls, the continent would rely on her spiritual pulse and deep conviction that would assure the realization of its rightful place. Illustrating with examples from the Bible, Patience makes the biblical stories relevant to the much-desired African Renaissance with her walls fully restored.

"'What a spiritual encounter! ""Jesus' Africa is a great transformational piece and amazingly spiritual. In a very honest and passionate manner, Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo tells her personal encounter with God through the stages of life; and whether it is through the mundane routine of life or the major development challenges, it is a captivating story of a true worshipper! In addition to giving the reader a glimpse into the First Family, the intimate personal stories make the book very warm and relatable. The years of research and hard work distinguish every chapter. The book is a great addition to Africa's anthology on theology, spirituality, history, politics, economics and a very gratifying biography. It is a strong scholarly documentation of Africa's divine mandate. It is a strong resource for national transformation and a must-read."" - Barbara Kaija, Editor-in-Chief, Vision Group. ""African servants of God must understand that unity and perseverance are essential to rebuilding Africa's walls on a solid foundation - Jesus Christ. The gospel's simplicity is the key to reconciling man with his Creator and his neighbour. As such, Christians in Africa must equip themselves with spiritual weapons, as the reconstruction of the wall is a spiritual endeavour. ""We recommend this book by Pastor Patience, which challenges us as servants in Africa of the Great King, Jesus Christ, following Ezekiel 22:30, Isaiah 58:12, and Joel 2:17."" - Pastor Israel Nsembe Loyela, Pasteur Principal du Centre Evangelique L'Arch de L'Alliance (Ark of the Covenant), Democratic Republic of Congo. PATIENCE"
