Author Information

Dara J. Bragg is a playwright, actress, director, producer, contributing columnist, and educator who has taught grades 3-6 for 26 years. She has a master's degree in Humanities in Education and has a passion for writing. Dara truly believes that children are our future and they are clever, gifted, witty, dedicated, charming, captivating, observant, understanding warm, and loving individuals. Her love for children, youth and what she has observed in her classroom throughout the years, is what inspired her to write this Children's Book about how a little girl uses certain strategies so that she can stay home school. Unlike the character Jenise in the book, as a child, Dara loved school and reading was her favorite subject. In 1st grade she was chosen to read a book to her older brother's 6th gade class. Dara was raised well by strong, loving and caring parents who laid a solid foundation and taught their children about having good morals, values, and a quality education. As a child Dara also loved to use her imagination and perform on stage at assemblies any chance she got. The performing arts is still in her blood to this day. Dara resides in Queens New York and is married to Kyle Bragg. They have 3 beautiful children, Koya, Kyra and Kahleel who were taught to always make education their number 1 priority because a school supports a students academic. social, and moral growth. This book is relatble to elementary as well as middle school students. It's a funny but heartwarming read for all to enjoy.
