"Elayne Russell Palmer is a retired teacher, living in Abilene, Texas, with her husband, Phil, and dog, Finn. She lives near her grown children and grandchildren and loves thehappy chaos that occurs when they are all together.She has had the opportunity to live in the Middle Eastern country of Palestine, the island of Cyprus, and she has traveled to Nigeria and the Dominican Republic. Meeting the children in all these contexts, she has been encouraged by their strength and resilience. ""Jameel's Plan"" was written for children ages seven to twelve and is based on the author's belief that the desire to learn is innate in every child. Aaron Sacco is an animator, illustrator, and muralist living in Austin with his wife, Kimmy, and son, Oliver. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, to missionary parents and grew up on the island of Cyprus.Since moving to Texas to study art and graphic design, he has worked on a wide variety of award-winning projects in illustration and animation. Tower (2016 film) won an Emmy and SXSW award for best documentary. Undone (2019 Amazon series) won a Gotham award and Critic's Choice Award for best animation. Apollo 10 1/2 (2021 Netflix film) won multiple awards for best animation, including Austin Film Society."
