OverviewA collection of essays and poems exploring the shared vulnerabilities of bodies and landscapes. Through a series of meditations on the drowning coast of north Essex, Jennifer Chante seeks the wisdom of this fluid geography - one radically shaped and re-shaped by erosion and flooding, as well as human efforts to control those processes. In doing so, she learns how to let go, how to unmask, and what it means to belong to the Earth. About the author Jennifer Chante was born in Colchester in 1986. She lives near the north Essex coast with her husband and their rescue cat. She studied BA Creative Writing and MA Wild Writing as a mature student at the University of Essex. Her poetry has appeared in anthologies by Green Ink Poetry and The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press.
