She is Deputy Secretary-General of Art Anthropology Society and Executive Director of Minority Costume Society in China. Her research interest consists in folk art, particularly folk embroidery. She has published a dozen of influential papers in this field, authored Chinese Folk Embroidery on Pillow Sides and The Art of Shaman, and co-authored Hand Embroidery.
