OverviewThis is the fifth and final book of the Intrepid series, it is based on a true story that unfolds in post war Britain. It is 1952 and the secret service is now employing Horace Gray on a regular basis to investigate the Mulligan crime syndicate. Horace returns to England after travelling to Ireland and helping to capture the leader of the syndicate, Shamus Mulligan, and his right hand man, Patrick O'Brian. The secret service determines that the criminal organisation is still active under the leadership of one of its generals who has so far managed to evade capture and is arranging arms deals with the Yakuza in Japan and Triads in Hong Kong. Horace is desperate to help the secret service smash the organisation so that he can get to Brian Fisher, the man he has been longing to kill for years. Horace has been transformed from the innocent young man he once was into a ruthless agent who will stop at nothing to get to and eliminate his target.
