This book is based on 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, 17 as a licensed professional. I have attempted to give the reader some educational information, learned through trial and error, so that their attempts to achieve a career in this industry is successful. This short but potent manual will offer vision to anyone who wants to pursue a career in healthcare. It will guide the reader through some obstacles and pitfalls that can hamper the pursuit of your goals such as avoiding legal troubles, and delaying starting a family. Depending on where your ambitions lay, whether you plan to become a lower level professional such as a floor nurse working directly with your patients and staff, or a high level executive in a decision making capacity, suggestions are offered which may form the foundations of your studies and shorten the time it will take to complete your work. It also details some examples of where and how to obtain financial assistance that do not require borrowing from the big banks or the federal government which have put so many Americans in the kind of debt that can be almost impossible to repay in one lifetime. Throughout the text are reminders to live within your means and spend only what is needed to complete your goals.
