OverviewIn these last years climatic changes have seriously affected the Chaco territory, besides provoking huge economic losses, they have increased the vulnerability of the native population the weakest and most exposed to the consequences of the natural disasters. The main objective of the realized activities has been to reduce the vulnerability when faced with the food insecurity, of the most affected communities, to increase their resilience and the ability to face climatic events such as droughts and floods. The present work is inserted in this objective and it seeks to improve the comprehension of the native context bringing and deepening the knowledge, the feelings, habits, traditions, of the indigenous communities. It is a question of creating awareness and sensitivity towards these natives groups that live in this region of Chaco. Only by beginning from a native vision is it possible to identify and realize activities which are culturally recognized and approved in order to obtain favorable and sustainable changes that are translated into a better nourishment and quality of life. The proposal is to redeem and reevaluate the traditional alimentary natural resources that belong to the territory and that have been present in the knowledge and memory of the native communities that live there. It doesn't propose a simple return to a past no longer desired, but to promoting the elaboration and transformation of the most important traditional foods, placing them in a modern context.
