Overview

This book examines the economic, political and security interests of India, Europe and the European Union towards Asia. It analyses their participation in major Asian multilateral organizations, responses to connectivity and Brussels’ differential engagement of China and India. Rajendra K. Jain was formerly Professor and Chairperson at the Centre for European Studies, and Director, Europe Area Studies Programme, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has been the first Jean Monnet Chair in India and has most recently published India and the European Union in a Turbulent World (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020), Changing Indian Images of the European Union: Perception and Misperception (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019) and India, Europe and Pakistan (Knowledge World, 2018).
