Overview

The third book in the Northshire Heritage series, In the Dead of the Night, continues the story of the prominent Steele and Haber families, the politics and history which swirls around them in the early 1900s, and the choices they make which change not only the lives and minds of those around them, but the world (for better or for worse) of future generations. The riveting conclusion to the historical fiction war series, Northshire Heritage, In the Dead of the Night leaps off the page with characters who remain in your heart long after the last page has been read. Set during the final year of World War 1 (the Great War), the Steele family faces unprecedented challenges to hearth and home. Leila, an ex-German spy, is forced back into the world of espionage when her infant son is kidnapped by the leader of a German spy ring. Meanwhile her husband, a lieutenant in the British army fights to clear their family name of the stench of treason. Rich with heart-stopping suspense, poignant romance and grand-scale action, In the Dead of the Night fuses Christian messages with unforgettable action. History and fiction come to breathtaking life in this explosive World War 1 historical fiction series. Darkness gathers in the final days of the Great War as the Germans plot to unleash a biological weapon that will plunge the Allied world into obscurity. For the Steele family, the stakes have never been higher. Leila is forced back into the shadows when the leader of a German spy ring kidnaps her child, jeopardizing Europe's fragile bid for peace. Meanwhile, Malcolm fights to keep Northshire Estate as his father stands trial for treason against the British empire. Confronted with overwhelming circumstances from their past, the Steeles must rely on their grit and faith to conquer the night. But will it be enough?
