Overview

"A beautifully illustrated story of one mans spiritual journey of enlightenment along with his beautiful and uplifting photographic art of the natural places he visited, rendered in his unique artistic style. This is not a complete autobiography, but rather a brief collection of memorable events and crossroads that helped shape his spiritual journey along with the story of the lessons he learned and what he came to believe. After earning his BA degree in industrial and scientific photography in 1978, Bill Caldwell spent 20 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) navigator. Now he's pursuing his lifelong love of landscape and artistic photography along with his enduring interest in spirituality including certification in Integrated Energy Therapy (IET). He believes that one of the reasons we are all here in the physical world is for the purpose of spiritual growth and expansion, and other people who are also on a spiritual path will benefit from reading his story. ""If there's anything I've learned during my life, it's that there's much more going on in the world and the universe than meets the eye. Much more going on than our five senses or scientific instruments will show you, much more than any religion will tell you, much more than most people are aware of or can imagine. The universe is a fantastic and mysterious place. This is my story."""

Author Information

"Bill Caldwell has always loved hiking and the outdoors so his artistic photography is based in the natural world―landscapes, seascapes, and macro/close-ups of flowers, leaves, rocks, and driftwood, as well as abstracts created from his macro images. After earning his BA degree in industrial and scientific photography in 1978, he spent 20 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) navigator. Now he's pursuing his lifelong love of landscape and artistic photography along with his enduring interest in spirituality including certification in Integrated Energy Therapy (IET). Although he's a bit of a nomad, he currently lives with his wife and cat in the Southwest and he's amazed at the stunning beauty of the Red Rock Country area as well as the surrounding region. One of the definitions of the word sacred is ""worthy of or regarded with reverence, awe, or respect."" In this sense, he considers these beautiful natural areas as sacred ground. He feels a strong spiritual connection to the land so his photographic art comes from a place of profound reverence and appreciation for this beautiful planet Earth. His primary intention is always to create beautifully uplifting pictures that capture the spirit of each location, and to communicate his feeling of awe and wonder when he explores and photographs the incredible spacious beauty of the natural world.
