Overview

The people who lived in that small village, were quiet and immersed in their thought. So, how did it turn into one that manufactured ice-cream in the form of clouds? How did it happen? Why is it important to invent and produce new products? Why is it important to cooperate and how is it done? This is the story of Cone, Ice-cream Bar (or for short- Barry) and Vanilla who initiated and founded together the clouds ice-cream in that village. Their story illustrates for us how a collaboration contributes to the development of initiative and industry. From the book: In a village, by the sea, lived quiet people. So quiet were they, That in the background one could hear only the whisper of the waves that emerged from the sea. Why were they so quiet? Because they were constantly preoccupied with their thoughts: What more they can invent and then implement it. Vered Kaminsky has published several children books: 'Dana's Finger Is Set Free', 'A Chubby, Orange Elephant' and 'Two Worlds, One Child's Heart' - that has translated to Chinese: 两个世界 一颗童心. The book 'Ice cream clouds', provides a special energetic state of mind, for children with the potential of young entrepreneurs. Have a pleasant reading!

Reviews

Israeli author Vered Kaminsky is a teacher of Communication and Cinematography as well as an author of children's books that are both entertaining for young readers as well as easily absorbed lessons about habits and behaviors that may need altering. She is accompanied in this book by illustrator Sara Bat-Or. A refreshingly new topic for youngsters - entrepreneurship - is beautifully handled in this story. Vered sets the tone for her fine story with the following - 'In a village, by the sea, lived quiet people. So quiet were they, That in the background one could hear only the whisper of waves that emerge form the sea. Why were they so quiet? Because they were constantly preoccupied with their thoughts: What more they can invent and then implement it.' These muted townspeople didn't communicate - they simply tried to invent things to get ahead. But onto the scene appear Cone, Barry, and Vanilla - three who communicate, share and collaborate in the successful founding of ice cream clouds! Vered's mission to inform children and their parents about the importance of communication and collaboration is well accomplished in this interactive story. This is both a fine story and a PLAN!
