Table of ContentsReviewsAlex Newton, Director of Sport Strategy and Investment, Australian Institute of Sport This is a brilliant book for under 5s and I love that it encourages children to be active, develops fundamental movement skills alongside building key communication skills. It provides a fabulous foundation for a child's health and well-being and will build strong foundations which will set little ones up for life. 5* Hayley Webster, Children's Speech and Language Therapist What a colourful and exciting book that will stimulate lots of discussion with little ones. As a speech therapist, I advocate using picture books with a focus on talking about the pictures, and this one is perfect! The repetition and rhyme of the text will keep little ones engaged and the simple action words will help them learn by doing the movements too! 5* Rachel Tomlinson, Teacher, Reading and Beyond I Spy with my Superhero Eye will stimulate some fabulous quality talk with your little ones whilst also getting them up and moving - what a winning combination! The illustrations are vibrant and busy, perfect for grabbing your little one's attention as well as being a perfect starting point for some storytelling, story inspired play and movement. I think one of the most wonderful things is the special 1 to 1 time this book will create for you and your child, whether it be all snuggled up exploring the pages together or being up and active having fun. Such lovely moments you can bother enjoy and cherish. 5* Alison Shepherd, Manager, Little Acorns Pre School and Oaks After School Club, Fulwood. This was a super book for our setting, the children and staff loved the bright colours and this really engaged them. The activities linked in with the EYFS prime areas which is our main focus. The theme of Superheroes is a big thing in our setting, therefore the children were engaged and willing to try the moves that are in the pictures. It supports early language and listening skills as the wording is simple and the adults could use open-end questions to encourage speaking. 5* Claire Walkden, Qualified Primary Teacher BEd QTS (Advanced Study of Early Years), Founder of Love2Learn, Chorley I Spy with my Superhero Eye is a very thought out book, full of colourful engaging illustrations that captivates the reader straight away. Each page is packed with endless possibilities that can be explored with young children and can be revisited time and time again. As an experienced early years teacher and mum of 3, this book supports many areas of development for young children. It supports speech and language, early reading, number, colour recognition, imagination and ideas for developing fine and gross motor skills. Lots of opportunities for open ended questioning.
