I like I SMILE AT THE SUN. It makes me feel good.- River James, age 4 I SMILE AT THE SUN is one of the best books I've ever read!- Ryder James, age 10 My auntie's book is better than 100 ice cream scoops on a cone. But not 101 ice cream scoops. Just 100.- Elsie Stoddard, age 4 This book is full of poems I like. Some are silly and make me laugh.- Jackson Clare, age 11

Author Information

"Judith Barrett Lawson is a critically acclaimed writer, lyricist, seasoned screenwriter, and former film executive. She is also the proud godmother or auntie to a goggle of gorgeous geniuses who will fight over taking care of her in old age. It was for them these poems were first written, then produced as a play at the Two Roads Theatre in Los Angeles, which the LA Times reviewer called ""poignant and perky.""Jude grew up in Wenatchee, Washington. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University. A longtime resident of Malibu, California, Lawson's home succumbed to the infamous Woolsey wildfires, so she is a footloose and fancy-free to come visit your school or town and recite some poetry!"
