Author Information

Daniel Mato has been widely acclaimed for his role in the Latin American revival of storytelling. A Doctor of Social Sciences, he's an internationally known scholar in the fields of cultural diversity and communication. He has had extensive storytelling experience, sharing tales, and conducting workshops with countless audiences of all types. He writes with imagination, warmth, and humor within a framework of solid research and study Joyce Story, the translator, has been a storyteller for more than 30 years. She is the author of two award-winning collections of stories: The Rhyme and Rhythm of Childhood and Tales of the Sonoran Desert. She is co-translator of A Russian Looks at America: The Journey of Aleksandr Borisovich Lakier in 1857. A retired college educator, she holds a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures.
