Aristotle (384-322 BC) was a Greek philosopher, a student of Plato, and a tutor to Alexander the Great. His writings, on such diverse subjects as rhetoric, logic, politics, ethics, biology, physics, and poetry, comprise some of the foundations of Western philosophy. He wrote as many as 200 treatises during his lifetime, of which only 31 survive. Of these, Aristotle's best-known works include Metaphysics, Nicomachean Ethics, Eudemian Ethics, Politics, and On the Soul. Armand D'Angour is professor of classics and a fellow of Jesus College at the University of Oxford. He is the author of Socrates in Love: The Making of a Philosopher and The Greeks and the New: Novelty in Ancient Greek Imagination and Experience. He lives in London. Born and raised in Southampton, England, Shaun Grindell is an accomplished actor who trained at the Calland School of Speech and Drama and the Lee Strasberg Actors Institute in London. As an audiobook narrator, he has narrated many titles in different genres. Among his most notable works are the Hamish Macbeth mysteries by M. C. Beaton. Shaun also garnered an AudioFile Earphones Award for his reading of The Roving Party by Rohan Wilson.
