Table of ContentsReviewsI love the beautiful simplicity of this book mixed with the profound impact that it will have in the life of a young believer. How wonderful that from such a young age, they will grow to feel and understand the constant presence of the Holy Spirit in their day-to-day walk. It excites me to think of the future lives of these children as they know the friendship of Holy Spirit and become filled with His Power! The Illustrations by Angela Pinkham are just delightful, full of joy and colour and the heart-shaped Holy Spirit balloon is beautifully depicted on every page and in every life circumstance! -Pastor Lana Davidson, Missionary and Director of the Costa Rica Kids Child Sponsorship Program The Holy Spirit's character is never easy to explain, but in this book, Tina has unpacked some solid truths in language that small children will be able to grasp. It lays down a biblical foundation to be built upon, as your child gains a deeper understanding of God. The illustrations are so fun! They capture the imagination, support the narrative, and really, who doesn't love a big heart shaped balloon?-Andy Falkiner, serves the Foursquare Church of Canada as First Lady We wouldn't generally use the word important when describing a children's book. However, because of the topic and the Person who is the topic, important is the correct word! So often, Holy Spirit is an afterthought in our thinking, an add-on, for reference only when we've run out of other more pressing teachings. Holy Spirit is so much more than that! To introduce children to the miracle, the delightful mystery, and the friendship of Holy Spirit may be one of the greatest joys and responsibilities adult Christians take on, and this little book does a wonderful job of doing so. -Terry Janzen, Lead Pastor Riverside Community Church The Bible instructs us to choose our friends carefully, for they have a profound influence on our lives. Are you looking for a way to introduce your child to the best friend they'll ever have? Tina and Angela have created a story to engage your children's curiosity about the Holy Spirit and draw them into an awareness of His presence that will love and protect them always. -Mindy Kiker, Co-founder FlourishWriters I am excited to see how the Holy Spirit will use these words and illustrations to bless others. I was particularly blessed by the idea that the Holy Spirit is gentle, patient and doesn't demand his own way with anyone. I pray that this book will encourage many people and remind us that we serve a God of love. -Jordan Mayer, Educator and Author of Your Smile Makes Flowers Bloom I think kids are going to like this book and learn something from it! Holy Spirit is My Friend uses some really strong words and makes me feel good to read it. The cover is my favourite!-Ryall Williams, Age 8 Author InformationTina Goetz has loved children's books her whole life, starting from when her parents read to her and continuing to when into her first job at a small-town bookstore. Now she enjoys sharing books with her husband and two kiddos. She has loved God her whole life and her greatest joy is discovering the life-changing friendship of the Holy Spirit day by day. Angela Pinkham learned early in life to focus on the positive and go after her dreams. She was born deaf and experienced many painful surgeries-and to take her mind off the situation, she spent long hours drawing with a pencil. After receiving a prophetic word, her faith challenged her to paint with brush and canvas. Now she is excited to fulfill her dream of illustrating children's books.
