Overview"This is a book of poems that loosely follows the plot for novel by the same author called ""A Poet's Conceit."" The collection of poems generally contains love poems and feelings of romance. Other subjects the collection discusses are travel, Chicago, death, and rural America. The first poem in the book is called ""These Hands"". The poem plays an instrumental part in the book ""A Poet's Conceit"". In the book, the protagonist writes a poem for a woman who he finds to be quite the inspiration. Unfortunately, her feelings were not reciprocated. The second poem ""What's a man to do?"" also appears in Grant Harting's novel called ""A poet's conceit."" and references two iconic pieces of art. By far the best poem is called ""Not a Poem"". It is a really exciting piece and its intellectual delights are stimulating to say the least."
