Author Information

Janine Hayward is a professor of politics at the University of Otago. She teaches New Zealand politics, with a research expertise in Treaty of Waitangi, electoral, constitutional, and environmental politics. Richard Shaw is a professor in the politics program at Massey University. He teaches New Zealand politics, with research expertise in the role of political advisers in executive government. Lara Greaves(Ngāpuhi,Pākehā,Tararā) is an associate professor in politics at Victoria University of Wellington and a senior research fellow in statistics at the University of Auckland. Claire Timperley is a senior lecturer in political science at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Her teaching and research interests include feminist political theory, gender politics, critical pedagogy and the politics of Aotearoa New Zealand.
