OverviewSeth Rich was a nice Jewish boy from Omaha, Nebraska. An ardentHusker fan, and lover of animals, Seth had been fascinated by politics since high school. After graduating from Creighton University, a Jesuit school, Seth moved to Washington D.C. to make a difference. Hired by the Democratic National Committee in 2015, his job was to develop software to simplify how voters find their polling places on election day.Seth wanted Bernie Sanders to be president. On July 10, 2016 at 4:20 am, while walking home from his favorite watering hole, Seth was shot twice in the back. Alerted by sensors that detect the sound of gunfire, at least three of the responding Metro DC officers were wearing body cameras. He still had his phone, wallet, credit cards, a gold pendant and his Rolex watch. Transported to an local hospital, he died later that morning. The police incident report described the offense as murder.Twelve days later, Wikileaks published 19,252 emails, exposing a plot between the DNC and candidate Hillary Clinton, to deny Senator Sanders the nomination. Within 48 hours, Clinton's campaign manager made the network rounds, not to explain or apologize for what was in the emails, but to declare that Russians were responsible for hacking their server. The FBI was not given access to that server until it had been wiped clean by experts hired by the DNC.Julian Assange, Wikileaks' founder and editor, is currently jailed in London awaiting possible extradition to the United States, charged with espionage. Assange has clearly stated that it was not a state party who provided the emails. Without naming Seth as their source, Wikileaks pledged $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of his killer(s). Three years have passed since Seth Rich's murder on Flagler Place. No autopsy report, no ballistic results, no toxicology screening, no neighborhood surveillance footage nor police body camera videos have been made public. Although the reward has reached $500,000, not one witness has come forward.
