OverviewOn March 31, 1922, on a cold, snowy night, five members of a German farm family were murdered along with their new maid. Days before the crime, Andreas Gruber had complained to neighbors that his house key was missing and there were footprints from the woods behind the house up to the barn, but no prints leaving the area.
