Overview

""People and places, they always come and go."""" In this collection of poems, Bastet draws on her own feelings of instability to ask the question of what it means to feel at home when all the things that constitute a home are constantly changing over time. """"Here and There"""" is an invitation to reflect on our own perception of belonging to try and reconcile the past with the present, regrets with hopes, and finally make peace with the ephemeral nature of things.

Author Information

Lilith Bastet, author of 'Here and There' Lilith Bastet was born in 1998 in Paris, where she spent all of her childhood and early teenage years. Since then, Bastet has lived in many different places, spending a few years in the state of Maharashtra in India, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and finally in London, UK where she is currently based. Having always been drawn to the beauty and playfulness of words, poetry is a natural language for Bastet, who took inspiration from her travels to put together this first anthology of poems.
