Author Information

Robert von Lucius, born 1949 in Berlin, grew up, thanks to the diplomatic work of his father, in Norway, South Africa, Namibia. After his legal studies in Heidelberg and Bonn he was junior lecturer in Church Law and in International Law at the University of Bonn. 1982 he joined the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, who sent him as their Africa correspondent to Johannesburg (1987-2001), to Stockholm as nordic and baltic correspondent and to Hannover responsible for Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Bremen. After his retirement 2014 he returned to Berlin where he is author of a well dozen books mainly on cultural historical themes and many other publications.
