Author Information

"""Harriet the Hatchling is in Trouble"", Shawn's first children's book was inspired by several metaphysical events with a dragonfly. ""I am fascinated by the magic in science and nature and our connection to it"" the author says as she quotes Einstein ""if you look deep into nature, you will understand everything better"". Her sophomore project, in progress, is another fictional cause story about the healing elements in the blood of the ancient horseshoe crab. Nature has always been a thread throughout her life from adventures growing up outside the city limits of Tuscumbia, AL, to photography jaunts in New York's Central Park and The Cloisters. ""This planet is amazing and we must preserve it"" she says as she observed places while performing theatre and music up and down the east coast, Florida and abroad."
