Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Hakaru River is a river in the Northland Region of New Zealand. It starts in the Brynderwyn hills and flows south to join the Topuni River exiting in the Oruawharo River, which forms part of the Kaipara Harbour. The name means to shake in the MA ori language. The Northland Region (MA ori: Te Tai-tokerau, also Te Hiku-o-te-Ika, 'the Tail of the Fish (of Maui)'), one of the 16 regions of New Zealand, is, as the name suggests, the northernmost of New Zealand's administrative regions. The main centre is the city of Whangarei.
