Dr. Twe was recognized as a Dayton Skyscraper, an artistic tribute to African American Heroes of Dayton and the Miami Valley Region. He received the Nia Award for his contributions to Sinclair College and the African American community. This transcontinental author and educator presided over the Liberian Studies Association and organized conferences for Africanists in North America and Africa.
