Author Information

"Felice Esposito Corcione was born in Marigliano outside of Naples, Italy, and graduated with full marks in electrical engineering at the Federico II University of Naples. In 1974, he was hired as a National Research Council researcher at the Motor Institute of Naples and began intense activity in the field of fluid dynamics and combustion of endothermic engines. He published numerous scientific articles at conferences and international journals in the transport sector. In 1997, he was appointed by the Ministry of University and Research to represent Italy in the International Energy Agency, as a member of the Executive Committee in the implementing agreement ""Energy Conservation in Combustion."" The same year, the president of the Society of Automotive Engineers (now SAE International) invited him to be part of the Board of Directors with the rank of SAE Fellow. In December 2010, he founded the SAE Naples Section with the participation of Rodica Baranescu and Murli Iyer. From 1995 to 2000 and 2005 to 2008, he served as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also at Wayne State University in Detroit in 2010. In 2012, he was invited to present his research results at the University of Seoul in Korea. Corcione also served mayor Marigliano from 2005 to 2009. In January 2012, he retired from the CNR and founded the ""Vigna Maurisi"" farm in Prata di Principato Ultra (AV) and started the production of PDO grapes using the biodynamic method."
