He is presently the Senior Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit, Maryland, and has been since 1990. He was a recipient of the Salt and Light Award in 2003, given by D. James Kennedy and Coral Ridge Ministries. He received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Mid-Continent University. He has taught these leadership codes at seminars in American churches, The Baptist Seminary in the Philippines, and at Leadership Conferences in Holland and Switzerland.
