OverviewTo understand the point at which public housing stock in large urban centers finds itself, it is vital to approach the process of generating social housing in all its complexity. The need to respond sustainably to the housing emergency has prompted a rethinking of the strategy to generate housing and, more urgently, social housing. She has experience in the design and construction of public works in tendering procedures, principally social housing from the tender phase to construction, and in facilities. She developed Elviña, Spain's first certified system of collective housing construction using local timber. She has carried out projects led by third sector associations and taken part in social development pilot projects promoted by various administrations. She is part of the technical department of Fundació Hàbitat3 and has experience in the management and organizationof works carried out by social insertion companies. She represents the Architects' Association of Catalonia-COAC as a jury member in public tenders. Ibon Bilbao qualified as an architect at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC). He is cofounder of llindarquitectura. He has been assistant director of ETSAB, a member of final project tribunals and teacher on the UPC master's degree, The Large Scale. He is codirector of the academic project of Arquitectes de Capçalera, coordinator of the year five thematic workshop at ETSAB-UPC, with the same name, and codirector of the ETSAB Summer School WAC international workshop. He is PhD Second Supervisor at the Royal College of Art in London and PhD student in the Projects Department, studying the impact of social learning pedagogies on the definition of the architecture project.
