Jean-Claude Boulet übte in Québec (Kanada) Reitsportdisziplinen wie Dressur-, Spring-, Western-, Wanderreiten auf kurzen und langen Distanzen, Fahrsport sowie das Hufschmiedehandwerk aus. Er besuchte Lehrgänge in Reiten aus der Körpermitte mit Peggy Cummings und Sally Swift und wurde in die TTEAM-Methode eingeführt. 1995 veröffentlichte er die erste Auflage des Equine Multilingual Dictionary . Steffen Runki ist seit Ende der 90er Jahre Mitglied der Rennleitung im deutschen Galopprennsport mit großem Interesse am internationalen Pferdesport.
