She has published three books of poetry, written drama for BBC Radio 4 and Sky Television, and has a PhD in poetry. She was the Charles Causley poet-in-residence in 2014; the first poet-in-residence in a university geography department (funded by the Leverhulme Trust); and she was poet-in-residence at the Small School in Hartland for 3 years. Alyson has enjoyed many collaborations with artists, musicians and sculptors.
