Author Information

Abhay Ashtekar is the founding Director of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos, and holds the Eberly Chair in Physics, at Pennsylvania State University. He is a Fellow of the AAAS and the APS, and a former President of the International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation. Beverly K. Berger is a former Program Director for Gravitational Physics at the US National Science Foundation. She is a Fellow of the APS, and was the founder of the APS Topical Group on Gravitation. James Isenberg is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oregon and former Eisenbud Professor at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley. He is a Fellow of the APS. Malcolm MacCallum is Emeritus Professor of Applied Mathematics at Queen Mary, University of London. He was the founding editor of Classical and Quantum Gravity and is a former President of the International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation.
