Author Information

Michael Barron worked on the Gaza Marine project at various times from 2003 to 2014 as a government relations manager for BG Group (British Gas). He now works as an independent consultant on transparency and governance issues. He focuses on the Middle East and especially the East Mediterranean region. He studied Arabic at Edinburgh University. He has also worked for Control Risks Group and Eurasia Group. He is married with two grown up children and lives in Berkshire.
