Overview

Video games are fun, but so is family! Alex is completely addicted to his video games! He ignores friends, family, and even skips his virtual classes. But, after Alex and his mom get sucked into one of his favorite games, they must beat it in order to get back home! Will Alex learn that family is more valuable than technology? Through adventure-filled twists and turns, Game Over teaches the importance of family and proves there can be a healthy balance between video game time and family time.

Author Information

Maxwell Clay is 10 years old and lives in Atlanta, GA. He is in the 4th grade and enjoys playing baseball and soccer, and he loves to draw in his free time. In the future, Maxwell hopes to use his skills and talents to help individuals without homes all around the world. Young Authors Publishing is a children’s book publisher that exists to share the stories of Black & Brown children. We believe that all kids are story-worthy and should see themselves reflected in the books they read. We also believe in writing our future, which is why we publish books that reflect how diverse our world is. Our two-part mission is to produce diverse and culturally relevant children's books and to use book publishing as a vehicle to economic mobility for our young authors. Royalties from their book sales are deposited into our authors' savings accounts for their post-secondary plans.
