Overview

Leah, a bright 14-year-old girl, was living with her family in Dapchi, Nigeria until the early morning of February 19th, 2018. Leah was at school when her village was attacked by Boko Haram, a jihadist militant terrorist group. She was abducted by the terrorists and brought into captivity along with 109 other classmates. They were forced to cram into vehicles and tragically 5 of the girls were killed by suffocation and trampling. One month later, the girls were returned to their village... all except one - Leah.

Cathy Holly has worked as an artist for more than thirty years and has illustrated several children's books. Her passion in life is to raise awareness and address the suffering and exploitation of children. Her dedication to this project is deeply meaningful with hopes of motivating people to take action toward change. Cathy grew up in Wisconsin and now lives with her husband in Sarasota, Florida.
