Author Information

Alan Amavisca (MA, Fuller Theological Seminary) has spent forty years ministering cross-culturally as a missionary church planter, mission pastor, mission director, and chair of several mission boards. His Friends background has deeply informed his commitment to prayer and Scripture.His current role, as the Director of North County Project, allows him to focus on grassroots disciple-making and outreach to the unchurched in North Orange County. He loves investing in emerging young leaders in the church through a learning community called The Lab, and equipping believers to engage with unchurched people who want to know more about Jesus. Alan and his wife, Barbara, live in Placentia, California. They have four married children on three continents-as well as twelve grandchildren.
