I have earlier used the First Russian Reader Serie and found them very useful for anyone which study Russian Language.Later I found out that the serie has aditional books of which this one is. I would recommend it as a quick touchup of the Russian language before going on a trip to Russia and it is also useful as suplement to Russian study. This book is towards children's book level so it is easy to go along. It is includes stress which is of great help in the beginning stages as stress is extremely important in the Russian language. It's true A1 level. This is a good introduction for beginners, with vocabulary lists followed by texts and with jokes as ice-breakers. I found pronunciation and grammar rules were really helpful.
