Overview

In a world of parting and pain, Ollie Marshall gives voice to her agony through Fire in My Bones with her poetic verse. She writes through life's observations and personal experiences with a demanding cry to cope with different challenges that are sometimes forced upon us beyond our control. One of the most compelling aspects of Fire in My Bones is Ollie Marshall's unwavering commitment to authenticity. She fearlessly confronts the injustices and hardships she has encountered throughout her life, giving voice to the deep-seated pain of discrimination and racial imbalance. Her words resonate with honesty and vulnerability, inviting readers to empathize with her journey and to reflect on their own roles in creating a more just and equitable society. At its core, Fire in My Bones is a powerful testament to the transformative power of art and expression. Marshall-Rico's words serve as a rallying cry for justice, a plea for understanding, and a beacon of hope for those who have experienced similar struggles. Through her poetic exploration, she sheds light on the injustices that plague our society and calls upon readers to join her in the fight for a more equitable future. Fire in my Bones is a cry to be heard, a cry to be appreciated, a cry for release of the pain of the unfairness inflicted upon Ollie Marshall's very soul.
