I'm talking about the serious stuff - constant negativity, crippling worry, and full-blown panic attacks. It started in my twenties when eating in restaurants. I'd suddenly feel this intense anxiety and would have to run away to avoid the panic attacks I knew was coming. Then it started happening in other places, like queuing at the supermarket checkout. Eventually, I couldn't go outside without getting anxious. So I stopped doing anything that might trigger an attack. I had started to fear the fear. When I began to lose friends, relationships and business opportunities, I knew something had to change. I became determined that anxiety was NOT going to define my whole life. So I tried everything to get better - therapy, journaling, exercise regimes, diets, fasting retreats, self-help books, hypnotherapy, and meditation. You name it, I tried it.
