Nadine M. Aktan, PhD, APN-BC, served as the chairperson of nursing at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Dr. Aktan is currently professor of nursing focusing on teaching community health to future nurses and adult health and family practice to nurse practitioner students. She also practices as a family nurse practitioner at the Immedicenter, a primary care/urgent care/family practice with locations in Clifton, Bloomfield, and Totowa, New Jersey, and as a maternal–child and adult community health nurse for Valley Home Care in Paramus, New Jersey.
