Overview

A tongue in cheek look at what happens when the primate world takes on the characteristics of homo sapiens. Beutifully illustrated with Jean's oil paintings, showing the fancy costumes from all parts of our society, especially those of fashion models. Along with the illustrations there's a story for each. Wry humor that will leave a smile on your face.

Author Information

Jean Hutchison grew up working in her father's drug store and went to pharmacy school at the age of 17. That interest in science has stayed with her morphing into an extensive study of evolution. Along with that has been an abiding interest in art and she has studied with some of the best artists. Early man was pretty ugly from her viewpoint so she decided to focus on primates and dress them in human clothes. Her brief modeling career led her to do a series of primates as fashion models, complete with their haughty look. From there she went on to use pictures of queens, maids, circus performers and other images that amused her. As she painted, the primates took on a life of their own and a series of stories began to develop. She hopes you will enjoy the painting and their stories and have a little laugh along the way.
