A.H. Macmillan the author of this book, wrote it in his eightieth year, a documented history of his many faith strengthening experiences, as a member of the Bethel family of Jehovah's Witnesses, from being a young man of 20 in 1900 until 1961 when he died at 81. He first wrote about his growing faith, as a young man searching for truth. His experience is so similar to many young people, youths many of whom have yet to find their way in life, so that it serves as a model of faith discovered, and faith in action, for faith without works is dead in and of itself.His ministerial career spanned six decades of devoted service to Yehowah God, many trials and joys combined into an extroadinary lifetime. As a close associate of Pastor Charles Taze Russell, Joseph P. Rutherford, and later Nathan H. Knorr he has intimate knowledge of all of the travails and growing pains of this unique organization through the first half of the Twentieth Century.
